You go to a party, you get into a fight, you fall in love, you climb up to her balcony, you make love, your best friend is murdered, you take revenge, you have to flee, you find your beloved again, she's dead, you take your own life, she wasn't really dead, but you are, so now she is too. A shame. But cult.

Some texts transcend theater and become a passion, or almost a faith. They're no longer performed, they're celebrated. In this spirit, Eline Schumacher transforms Shakespeare's masterpiece into an explosive celebration, a starting point for the birth of a new folklore. What we have here is a modest brotherhood devoted to Romeo and Juliet, as a sign of an absolute love for the classics experienced as a collective ritual. The piece unfolds as a vividly alive spectacle, constantly shifting between revived and reinvented scenes, live music, and an engaged audience. The performance morphs into an immersive celebration in which the auditorium and the stage vibrate together to the sounds of love.
