De Vlaamse band Customs ontstond in 2008. Niet veel later hadden ze al hun eerste grote hit te pakken met Rex. Na een succesvolle periode met goud bekroonde albums en optredens op grote festivals zoals Rock Werchter en Pukkelpop, trok de groep zich in 2018 terug vanwege een "muzikale burn-out".

En maar goed ook dat de band een break heeft genomen, want sinds een paar jaar is de band weer terug met nieuwe energie. Waar ze voorheen bekendstonden om hun postpunk-geluid, experimenteren ze nu ook met nieuwe geluiden. In de bovenzaal van Paradiso presenteren zij hun vijfde plaat LOVE IS THE FUTURE, die aan het begin van 2026 verscheen.

The Flemish band Customs was formed in 2008. Not long after, they scored their first major hit with “Rex.” Following a successful period with gold-certified albums and performances at major festivals such as Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop, the group stepped back in 2018 due to a “musical burnout.”

In hindsight, that break turned out to be a good decision, because the band has returned in recent years with renewed energy. While they were previously known for their post-punk sound, they are now experimenting with new musical directions. In the upstairs hall of Paradiso, they present their fifth album LOVE IS THE FUTURE, which was released at the beginning of 2026.
