Born and raised in Beirut, Tarek Yamani is a pianist, composer and producer who he is critically acclaimed for music that is “full of poetry and mysticism” from revisiting the classic traditions of the Arab world through the sophisticated rhythms and harmonies of Jazz. In an invigorating style, Tarek "ingeniously stretches the edges between two eclectic cultures and musical heritages" as heard on his albums "Lisan Al Tarab: Jazz Conceptions in Classical Arabic", and “Peninsular” which explores the rhythms of the Arabian Peninsula.
He has performed and composed in a variety of other genres including Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Electronica and chamber music, and in venues such as the Smithsonian, Barcelona Cathedral, Atrium at Lincoln Center, Dubai Expo 2020, Ithra, Boulez Saal, Dizzy's, MuCEM, Melbourne Arts Center and Kings Place to name a few.
